Chiefs Confirm Alleged Abuse Allegations Involving Player Rashee Rice
The Kansas City Chiefs released a comment on Wednesday evening stating they have knowledge of domestic violence allegations circulated in online accounts by a ex-partner of player the athlete and were in communication with the league office.
The team did not mention Rice specifically in their statement and stated they would have “nothing more to add at this time”.

The woman, who likewise did not name Rice directly, posted a series of photos on social media that appeared to show indicators of bodily harm. She did say the person involved was the parent of her kids, and reports indicate she has two children with Rice, whom the Chiefs drafted in the second round.
Official Complaints Reportedly Not on File
No official complaints were available in the Kansas City suburb where the incident is said to have occurred.
Player's Prior Off-Field Troubles
Rice was absent for the initial part of this NFL campaign following an NFL suspension for his role in causing a crash on a Dallas highway that left several individuals hurt. He was sentenced 30 days in jail and probationary supervision after pleading guilty to serious offenses.
On the field, he finished the season with 53 receptions for 571 receiving yards and five TDs as the Kansas City finished with a losing record and failed to qualify for the postseason for the first occasion in a decade.
