Best-selling children's author and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.

An official for the publisher stated: "Upon deliberation, and following the appointment of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing any new titles by David Walliams."

It has been reported that the move was made after an review of allegations of questionable actions involving young women.

The publisher did not confirm the reasons for its decision, adding: "We do not comment on private personnel issues."

A Prolific Writing Journey

Walliams ranks among Britain's most prolific writers for young readers, with sales exceeding more than 60 million copies internationally in 55 languages.

His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.

Some of his titles, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as television films.

To date, he has released over four dozen titles in total, including a holiday title named *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins last autumn.

Television and Literature

His initial claim to fame came on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He received an OBE back in 2017 in recognition of his work for charity and the arts.

The publisher's decision comes after the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO this past October.
